Wickham Harbour is located between Vungunu Island and Nggatokae Island about an hour boat trip from Uepi Island. It is famous for the three Japanese freighters that have been sunk here during World War II. They are the Azusa Maru, Iwami Maru and an unidentified wreck, all relatively intact and upright creating a wicked dive site surrounded in dense shoals of fish. After more than fifty year, coral is growing on the wrecks and several inhabitants have made it their home.
